«FHM» had a really scandal advertising campaign everybody noticed. It was granted a number of rewards, after that it was quickly withdrawn. That was really funny and not enough. Who knows that in the initial version Olga Radionova had a cigar in one of her hands and a pistol in the other? But just when there was a day left before the first edition came out we decided to redraw the hands.

The position of FHM chief editor became an amusing journey with a great deal of responsibility, a vast number of impressions and everyday interesting acquaintances for me.

The Russian gloss is so far from resembling Vanity Fair. As a result the licensed issues hold that all. Well, they may be inferior to the foreign issues not to the nature of our journalists, but due to the audience. Let’s say, it’s the consumer that gets reflected in a magazine.

There are completely awful editions. I live in Rublyovo-Uspenskoe highway, where in shops you can get local magazines free of charge. The editor may be, let’s say, a wife of a grown rich militia man, who bought here a house at 5 000 000. The thing is that her neighbours do not feel like getting acquainted with her, so she gets shot in an awkward leopard fur coat to place the photo in her own magazine just to assert her own self.

Celebrities are driven and success-oriented people. At the same time they are all so different. It’s only natural that there are some mean characters, but you can meet there some really nice ones. Anyway… The higher the success level is the more sophisticated and intelligent a person occurs.

Nowadays many people can not afford themselves to play pathos and neglect other people. The ones who can, are reducing their tempo, as such behaviour is more out of fashion now. Success never ceases to play the role of an ultimate social indicator, but people start putting on new masks.

One should dress in accordance with one’s status, position, event. There are hats that are not for small heads, you know. When I worked in business journalism I dressed really decently. When I embarked on the gloss, I had to shift the whole of my wardrobe, to start minding brands, collections and trends.

Espresso is my fuel, which enables me to operate. I take no other drugs.

I’ve got various interests on different stages of my life. First it was “ABC” that taught me much, and now there are so many interesting and informative in there way books, that I can think of issuing a separate edition devoted to the thing.

When young I’ve been deeply interested in “Aquarium” for some considerable period of time. As for Alla Borisovna Pugacheva she is no doubt the Prima donna and grandmother of the Russian show business. Her status does not change even if she does not perform.

I always had a man as a boss. I can’t work with a woman. I guess this is a sort of a phobia.

My wife and I have our favourite phrase: “The institution of family has forfeited currency in the society”. Before it was all about survival, giving birth to children and growing them up. People needed some certain cell, their responsibilities being clearly distributed. It’s all different nowadays. Today we have no social principles, preventing a woman from earning more.

Earlier I liked to cook and I was pretty good at the thing. Now I’ve forgotten that all, being able to cook only excellent pasta with sea food.

I’ve got many friends of unconventional sexual orientation. There are totally great! It’s just I can’t see the point in certain citizens’ rights libs.

Whatever I do I have created nothing more beautiful and important than my daughter and my son. I want them to be happy. I want them to be happy in the way they themselves want. It’s up to them whether it will be prosperity, success or professional status.
