For interior designer the most important thing is not to rest on his laurels. You shouldn’t confine yourself with materials and styles. You should try to extend and break the ordinary and habitual frameworks. Only making those attempts we’ll move forward, not backwards.

When you come to just finished construction project you feel the magic of a new flat, fresh atmosphere. Some people try to get rid of it and place some everyday small things but I like very much that aroma of novelty.

For designer it’s important to feel the space and being the first time in a flat to see the most effective decisions.

One should judge a work only when it’s finished. As they say you mustn’t show your unfinished work to a fool or everything will be spoiled. (laughing)

Conscience means your feeling calm and not embarrassed even for the one small step.

It’s always pleasing to realize that you managed to combine the things that people earlier didn’t dare to mix together or were afraid of such combinations or even didn’t think of putting them together. It’s always interesting to find new solutions.

All people have their own views, my principle is “perseverance wins”.

Friends are those people with whom you can meet at any time and escape from your endless projects and plans.

I remember I used to like very much to drive in a sleigh from the hills in a childhood. Not long ago I saw that hill, it seemed to me being absolutely vertical. Up to now I can’t understand how I managed to go down from it and turn somersaults. (laughing)

My wife and I got unforgettable emotions when we were in Thailand. The remarkable thing was a trip to a remote island. Usually tourists go there for several hours but we made up our minds to stay there for some days. It was unforgettable.

I have one peculiarity: if I’m interested in some work, I plunge into it, all the other things don't exist for me any more, I can do without eating and drinking, I live only with this work and will never know rest until I finished. Sometimes it can come close to absurdity and even disturb the others.

My wife presented me a Playstation3 for the 23 of February but sometimes it seems to me she regrets it. I try to control myself otherwise my habit to complete the things won’t let me do anything else.

I have a very salient surname and people often pay attention to it. Sometimes as a joke they give me the baskets with different fruits as a present or things in the shape of fruits.
