I’m designing a new brand of beach clothing. Initially, it used to be a hobby that is now beginning to bear fruit. I’m not the only one who likes to spend holidays by the sea. Designing beach clothing was a very rational choice.

I’m not just a designer. I also do sales, advertising. You could say that I’m a full-fledged owner of a young brand.

I got my passion for making clothes from the two famous Russian designers who I used to work for as a PR director before I left to start my own business.

It doesn’t matter who created the garment – what matters is whether it matches your views on clothing and how it looks on you.

If you look at it from the historical point of view, fashion is a social phenomenon. It has more to do with people who are economically secure.

Just stay away from clothes that don’t look good on you. If you choose the right things for yourself, your size will never be a problem! If a woman is content with herself, she’s going to be successful with men. Just like in that one cartoon: “Love yourself, and everything else will come!”

I’ve been doing fencing for two years already. It was my son, running around with a sabre, who inspired me to take it up. Apart from the fact that fencing means sport, action, energy, brain work, it’s also very beautiful! I much prefer poking the rivals to beating them up. On the other hand, that is also a great way of releasing negative emotions.

The happiest period of my life was when my child started eating on his own (laughs). I prefer to view my life as one long period.

Ignorance is bliss. By trying to look into the future, you’re complicating the present.

Money comes and goes; it isn’t the measure of all things. It’s the people we love who bring us positive emotions. And what kind of life would it be if these emotions or people were to be handed out by someone once a month.

I’m very laid-back when it comes to such things: if I don’t have time, I eat takeaway. When I do have time, I go to fancy expensive restaurants.

There’s no such word as “never” in my vocabulary. You never know.

My car is one of my greatest passions. I love racing. This helps get over certain things. Speeding along the roads of Moscow at night is the best tranquilizer for me. But it feels as good on nice sunny days. Just add some favourite tunes as a cherry on the top, and tinted windows to make the joy complete.

I enjoy a good laugh. I’ve never heard anyone complaining about my “Homeric laughter”.

I hold a degree in journalism, I’ve never studied arts or textiles, or anything like that. But I remember what Lenin and my nanny have taught me: “Learn, learn, and once again, learn!” I’m planning to finally get round to mastering the profession of a designer straight after I’m done with my dissertation.

I wouldn’t say that there are Russian designers out there who have reached the level of the world-famous stars, but I do know a few who I find quite promising.

I’m always interested in other people’s experience. If there’s some “geek” among us, who’s speculating about higher mathematics or chemistry, I’d be happy to listen to him. I might not last too long, but I’d give it a try.

I like books about religion, psychology, and philosophy.

The basic requirement of a good party is a good company. We always organize very fun girl’s nights out. Whether it’s a club, a restaurant, or just someone’s place, — it’s always equally fun.
