«The ambition to discover the truth is life’s greatest stimulus. What else do we live for? »
We all have our moods. Better keep it positive though. If the reasons for it being otherwise are external, then there’s nothing wrong. If they’re personal, then it’s a depression.
After I’d been working in genetics research for three years, I started noticing that I was developing a habit of talking to bacteria (laughs). This made me realize that I enjoy talking to people a lot more, so nowadays I prefer dealing exclusively with people.
Crisis is an essential stage of social development. If there’s no decline, there will be no growth. Apart from this, crisis also has purifying and remedial effects. After-crisis economics and standard of living show dramatic increase. It’s the time for the society to dispose of the unnecessary ballast and undertake a reevaluation of priorities.
I’m a moderate Christian, nothing extreme. I’ve had to deal with all sorts of people in my life and I can say that majority of scientists, for example, are very strong believers. And what’s even more interesting, the more they do science, the more they are convinced of the existence of God.
I battle to understand the purpose of meaningless imitation, like that of stars’ fans, etc. Such imitation doesn’t encourage self-development, which means, it leads to degradation.
Depression is the type of condition that affects person’s view on the world around him, causing distortions and making him see everything in a different light, unlike usual. Chronic depression may lead to the loss of grey matter in various areas of the brain, therefore, it must be diagnosed and cured as soon as possible.
My idea of pleasure involves constant growth, education, obtaining new knowledge and experiencing new emotions, meeting interesting people, traveling. And there is a lot more you could add to this list.
To solve the problem you must first find what’s causing it.
Doctors’ advice is there to be sought for.
There’s a great way of getting rid of a problem: American psychologists say that you should imagine a little box, where you place the problem you can’t resolve right now, then close this box, put it aside, and carry on with other things. As soon as you gain all the necessary resources for resolving this problem, you can bring it out again.
I consider myself a polymathic person. I was lucky enough to complete two degrees, conduct some genetic research, take part in various physical and biophysical experiments, and right now I do marketing. Which makes it quite a variety of skills to have under my belt (laughs).
There are millions of chemical reactions happening inside every human being. Our body is one big machine, which no other computer can ever compare to.
The ambition to discover the truth is life’s greatest stimulus. What else do we live for?
Living for pleasure alone is just another way of doing it. Why not? I wouldn’t though. I’m glad that I have accomplished something in my scientific research. I’ve made my contribution to the development of our society.
I’d like to believe that soul enters body at conception. In other words, that the moment the new life emerges is the moment our spiritual element appears within.
A man is a summit of evolution! One shouldn’t forget about it.
According to Vanga’s predictions, humanity has at least another five thousand years of existence to live through. So we’re still going to be around for quite a while! And by the way, when they asked her if there’s God, she responded that she was not allowed to answer this question. But someone must have not allowed her to do it! Take Tesla, on his deathbed he said that all of his inventions weren’t actually invented by him. Who was it then?
There’s a theory that says that everyone is born with the same set of abilities. Everything else is entirely up to us. I believe this could be true.
Life is moving from point A (birth) into point B (death). Travel speed and time vary from person to person. But every day we make another step along this road, and, I think, there’s no need to fear the end.
Motherland for me is a place where I was born, birch trees, winter, Russian talk, matryoshkas, miniature country churches, and a lot more. This is what I like. It’s opposite to the idea of motherland being a place where you’re paid good money.
