I’m not afraid and embarrassed to study, every day I slake my thirst for knowledge.

Not everyone is given the opportunity to be Diego Maradona. The sportsman sooner or later has to choose: whether he admits the truth and finishes his career, whether because of continuous despair to be the coach of youth team. The first variant appeals to me more, but I respect the coaches a lot too.

When I chose serious education I started to reveal the talent of a real football player, but it was late, the moment has gone.

Being a sportsman, even an ex-sportsman, is excellent.

I’m sure that the fashion for sport is caused by some reasons. Russian teams win the cups, obtain the recognition of the world society, Russian sportsmen become famous in abroad. This is a good engine for our countrymen that arouses interest.

Instead of heat on some Turkish beaches I’d prefer going to the Olympic Games or world championship as a football fan. The one who has once presented in big competitions will continue to go there tell the end of his life.

We all remember when in Salt Lake City in one of the final rounds in short-tracks four leading sportsmen fell down and the fifth Australian guy became an Olympic champion. And who will say that there are no fortuities in sports and in life then? Man proposes, but there (pointing somewhere up) He disposes.

One shouldn’t ask from “the power of the Most High” some title or gold medal, you should ask power and strength to gain this victory, other things you’ll do yourself. Ask fishing rod but not a fish. Or even a float.

In Russia we are afraid to repeat the life of David Beckham, the classic of worldwide brand of being a talented football player. When you play football, it’s not desirable to do something else, or you’ll be razed to the ground.

The more possibilities you have, the more temptations there are. When a man achieves something or goes up for a higher social status he becomes being regarded as vain. It’s very common to our mentality.

For me friendship is a disinterested thing. Subconsciously people use each other for some purposes. But it’s important to distinguish between “I’ll help you because you need help” and “You must help me because you must”.
