- Why music of the 80-s is so popular in Russia?
— This is due to some nostalgic traits of Russians. All foreign celebrities of that time like C.C. Сatch or Ottowan majorly earn here, while they are almost forgotten in their native country. In Russia at the height of New Year corporate parties they live in Moscow from December, 15th to January, 1st in rented accommodation while the range of festive events is in full swing. For many of them Russia is not only the country they’ve got related with, this is also the main source of their earnings.
- Why do young celebrities start to “celebrate” so quickly?
— I have always been surprised how “Dom-2” performances could be such a success as well as “Factories” manage to attract people to fill the whole of the sports palaces. How can that be that these guys that have just danced and sung in some hobby groups are performing on grand stages?! I have asked myself: why is our audience that attracted by these unknown songs and unrevealed talents? It’s only natural that when a young “star” becomes widely known just in a wink and gets crowds of fans following, his or her child psychic can not resist the temptation, which all leads to star fever bursting out. Well, no doubt there are people who could have come through all these musical conveyors and still they managed to stay real professionals, like overcome all that. You know, fame is a great desire which is to be channeled properly.
- Why do they in the West get essential royalties from the sold albums while our singers have to travel all along Russia to earn little?
— Nowadays they in the West also have it quite tough due to the fact that the whole of the record business has lost greatly because of the immense Internet popularity. Now more and more Western celebrities have to travel the whole world performing instead of relying on their albums sales only. So in Russia the whole situation has become even worse: here we have only piracy and no literate efforts to bring the whole thing down. The authorities’ attempts to struggle illegal products spread more resemble circus tent performance. In case they launch some grand project, let’s say some movie’s first night, they arrange special PR-events directed against piracy: they just pick out one stand in a crowded underground tunnel in the centre of Moscow, gather a militia posse and a group of PR guys and “finish with another rookery of piracy”, advertising of the place you can buy the licensed products following. This is so awkward! All this fight with ineffective staff and pressure methods lagging behind will lead to nowhere.

В первую очередь, слава - это испытание. И далеко не каждому удается "оставаться человеком..."
